(Don't be fooled by the "brotherly love" facade, the big gash on Will's forehead is compliments of Ethan.)
Jon is out of town for a few days, so that means me going to the gym: not an option. So, we improvised. We went into DC to walk around the monuments. I was able to exercise and the boys were happy... and strapped in. Perfect.
Although Ethan has seen the Washington Monument a number of times, ever since the fireworks he has become somewhat fascinated with it. Whenever he sees it from across the river in the car, he gets very excited, "Mom, it's the Washingment!" (I like his "nickname", or more like his confusion. It's more efficient.) So today was especially fun for him. He was able to get out and touch it and just enjoy looking at it. He put it nicely, "Mom, it's wonderful."

I completely agree. At first I thought it was so wierd that nobody else thought the 24th was a big deal but I got over it. I love the pictures, Megan. You seriously have the cutest little boys.
Don't feel to bad, we didn't even see any fireworks on the 24th so if that makes you feel any better :) Looks like fun time at the beach.. You better get all the beach days in you can
What amazing memories you are creating with your boys! How cool that you could be so close to DC and be able to see so many things. I am jealous!
The picture of Ethan looking at the monument looks professional. "Washingment" is a good word. I'll remember that!
Good for you for going to work out at the mall. I wish I could walk around here, but it's TOO hot!
I love Ethan's nickname for the monument. That's so cute. Where did Jon go? Overseas again?
I love all the beach pictures. I'm glad you guys were able to go. Can you believe we're almost done with our summers away from Provo?
Oh, and Will is getting cute by the day. So fun!
That brother picture is absolutely adorable!
